Can anyone give me any benefits for government run health care. The way I see it every time i got sick it would be like going to the DMV and the DMV is a joke.

You are right. And yet everyone still thinks universal health care is a good thing. I got news for you. All the countries that have it do not want it. they all come here. Now the liberals want to destroy our health care too.
Yes, Kevin, I certainly can! It will teach you and me to be very , very patient because our butts will be sitting in that waiting room for a very long time before some doctor we’ve never seen in our lives finally appears. Good news, huh?
Yeah, health care these days is a ******* joke. The best policy I can get now in Colorado comes with a $5,000 deductable…. What the hell am I to do with that? Seriously What am I to do with that?
However, it gets better from state to state. States like New York are actually offering healthcare incentives (or rewards rather) for policy holders such as $500 a year towards a gym membership. That is the best we have these day.

Edit* Social Security and Universal Health care is not the same. The key would be to build a efficient universal health care system. Unlike the democrats in denver who tax the crap out of business here and spend it on experimental expansion plans. As a small business owner who works hard every day to make ends meet only to get the crap taxed out of me at the end of the quarter for nothing, I am pissed. I would like to see at least a health care program and not a new 100ft wooden bear built in the center of downtown denver.
Universal health care is universal coverage at a reasonable cost or for free for everyone.
Don’t believe the naysayers that it won’t be run right. The SS checks arrive on time every month. A lot of people were against SS in 1933.

there are none…. ask the people in canada on waiting list for surgery… or the doctors in europe who are now no more than government employees….
obama 08 and no mandates on health care… i don’t want the government telling me what i have to do with my money in regards to health care… especially as an adult…make it affordable but don’t force me to buy it so someone else can afford it… just make it more affordable for people that want it and can’t afford it.

It would matter on your point of view.if your poor or working poor with no health ins. then government health care would be a boon.if your rich without health care why would you even care?.the middle class are the ones in the need of affordable health Ins and no real solutions have every been discussed since the Idea of government health care came up in 1048.
DMV is a nightmare, You pay for DMV, tax payers pay for health care.
Denmark has government run health care and they are the happiest country in the world. We don’t have the best health care system in the world ,we just have the most EXPENSIVE health care system in the world.

We DO have government run health care:
Medicare
SCHIP
Medicaid
IHS
VA
ALL need a ton of work on them as they are broken to various degrees. THAT and the bulk of problems with our system ARE fixable and there is a sensible plan for it which would ENABLE (not force) people to be able to prevent bankruptcy over serious medical bills.
Remember that half of all bankruptcies are over medical bills and 75% of those folks ARE INSURED. Got that Hil, Obama, and Mitt? They have insurance and they go BANKRUPT. The system needs the REAL problems addressed.
So how about personal responsibility? How about an emphasis on preventative care? How about TRUE catastrophic insurance that prevents bankruptcies? How about pulling the WASTE and worthless coverage out of policies (buy your own ED drugs, your own fertility treatments, and pay for your own trips to the doc for the sniffles. Got cancer? We will help you. Got a cold? Have some chicken soup. Pay for it yourself.)
I want QUALITY, ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE health care for all.
That means preventative care (physical with follow up). Real medication (no Medicare “donut holes” the really ill are ripped off again.) No bogus ridiculously low “caps” on needed medical procedures. No abuse of the ER. No paying for the silly with the sniffles to go to the doc for free. No more bankruptcies over medical bills. I want THIS plan that ends abuse of the taxpayer, takes the burden off employers, provides price transparency, and ends the rip-off of the US taxpayer at the hands of greedy insurance CEOs (which has been repeatedly documented).http://www.booklocker.com/books/3068.htm…
