Do Members Of My Generation Ever Really Have To Grow Up?

This Question From Paramedic Jokes | 2 Answers

At 24, I am often criticized for my lack of maturity. I still take very little seriously, I still love video games, designing model rockets, pranks, and practical jokes. Despite this, I have a stable career as an EMT, am doing well in school to eventually become a paramedic, am fortunate enough to be living with the most amazing and intelligent woman in the world, and have our first child on the way. Even though I still maintain the same passions I had when I was younger, life is going pretty well right now. And it seems that it will only get better.
I guess, simply put, I enjoy having fun. It seems to me that fun is something I was expected to give up as I got older, but I can easily see myself as an old man still pwning noobs, blasting things into orbit, or startling my girlfriend, or perhaps wife if we ever decide to bother with a marriage to the point that she needs to change her depends.
I know that with the career I have chosen, lives are sometimes on the line. I am quite serious in class or when responding to a call. Outside of school and work though, I see no harm in being a little immature. Is there really any reason for me to behave as people believe adults are supposed to? Or is it perfectly fine for me to become the most immature old geezer out there?

Good job distinguishing work from play.
I think that’s all you need, why change the way you are to please others? If you happy and your gf is happy, then that means you guys are doing something right… I hope one day i find someone as fun as you .
