What happens if private insurance starts offering better rates than national insurance?
Also, with the great job our government has done with our Social Security program can we honestly depend on them to do a good job with healthcare?
Lastly, who will decide what quality of care you recieve? The government? I say NO THANK YOU!

If it wasnt so disasterous, I would be laughing. However, I am crying for what this country might become.
ADD: You bring up social security. Both he and Hillary compared their plans to soc security (as if it were a GOOD thing). I just couldnt believe my ears. It is like living in the Twilight Zone.
His plan is to have a health care plan available for people who have been denied by 2 or more plans or who can’t afford their own plan, either through their employer or from their income level.
And if private insurance started offering better rates than national insurance…then we wouldn’t need national insurance, would we? But it’s the insurance monopolies that drive up the prices of health care, not the government!
If you were part of the government health-care plan, yes, they would decide, but you would have the choice to have your own private insurance, employer’s insurance, the government insurance, or none at all (except for children) under Obama’s plan. That gives you a lot of choice!
If people need private insurance on top of UHC , they are free to do it. America is just above Cuba (37th) in Quality care and health services .
If Americans could aid third world countries than why not sicks of their own country ? Right now whatever health insurance plan you take, Insurance companies are going to maximize their profits (30-40%) and are going to leave you with empty pockets. So why not put that 30-40% of insurance companies for the help of needy people ?
Current system many times result in detection of sick ness at critical stage. and which costs much more to people than if it was detected earlier.
Ummmmm… 46 million uninsured people in the United States? People going bankrupt to pay for medical expenses?
I’m not saying that “just because everyone else is doing it you should too” but there are a heck of a lot of first world countries doing it (like Canada) and every single citizen is covered, no one ever goes bankrupt because of it, and every single person is insured.
And the cool thing about it is that if you still want to pay out of your nose for insurance you still can under Obama’s plan. Isn’t that great! He even made an exception for morons!
Of course it is. It’s not even concrete. His is not even a real univeral health insurance. He says people don’t have it because they can’t afford it. Guess what? Make it affordable and they still won’t buy it!
Oh, and the small business owner is going to be out of business from high fuel costs, higher taxes to give to welfare, and pay for health insurance.
If you want too much, you’ll end up with nothing when small businesses are put OUT of business.
Let him pay for what he wants! The middle class is all but doomed, anyway! But look at it this way. If I am a real Christian and going to a church that supports Christ, would or could I be a Democrat in our time? It defies what God has said! What he supports, as a Democrat, defies God! God’s Word is real and suggests we are Christian or it does not! A Believer says the Word of God is real and is truth or they do not! Then why go to church if one denies the Word in MAJOR content?,… he has to be a liar and Jesus said this! Earl

If Teddy Kennedy was under his plan he would still be waiting for that brain surgery to remove the 40yrs of bankrupt liberal ideas from that P brain of his. Rationing of services will be an everyday occurance under his plan.
