If there is absolutely nowhere he can stay (garage, basement, etc..) could you try using a lead to tie him in the barn? At least then he'll be a little warmer. Good luck!

can you bring him, and block him off in one room? Otherwise, just earplugs.

Maybe if you put something more for him to eat in the barn and then something chewy (a steak bone or something similar) to keep him there awhile. Plus a bowl of water since he might be very thirsty. I can't think of anything else to keep him in the barn unless you have a long leash perhaps and are willing to get that close. Perhaps a boarding kennel would be willing to take him in just for the holidays at a reduced price. Either way, good luck!

Do you have an extra room that you could keep him in like a bathroom or laundry room? Try and do that until the places open up again.

Well, you could get the dog a muzzle. I know that you don't want a stray dog in the house, but if you corner off a part of like a part of your house that's untidy, then you could keep the dog inside over there. It would probably be happier there. You can also try finding a family owned or small animal rescue place to leave the dog. I really have nothing else to tell you, but if I were you, I would keep the dog. You should go to the vet fairly soon. We had a cat come like that. She just kept coming back for food, so my mom took her to the vet for shots. The dog might already have shots though. If he looks fairly old or really friendly, he has a pretty good chance of already having had shots, so you really don't need to worry about having him in the house.

Take to the animal to the shelter in the morning. Do you have a stall for the dog, what about closeing the dog in a horse stall or tackroom with water&small amount of food?

Can you shut the barn door? There really isn't any other option unless there is some kind of boarding facility that is open, you'd have to pay to board him for a few days/nights until the shelter opens. You can't let him freeze, do you have a neighbor or someone who can let him in?
