My old lady is an RN. She said that her patient a few days ago had a massive stroke, but she left the hospital against medical advice because “God will heal her”. Yesterday she says this same lady was admitted by her neighbor since she was incapacitated because her brain was swelling and pressing against her skull.
Thoughts?

Sounds like god wants her dead. And who are we to mess with the divine plan? Adios, stroke lady.
I guess she expected to have this bright light shine down from the sky. This though reminds me of a joke that I heard years ago. There was a big flood and this guy was stuck on his roof. A boat came by to get him out of there. He turned it down saying “no God will save me” two more boats came by and he responded the same way. Well he finally drowned. When he got to the other side he asked god why he deserted him and God said I didn’t I sent you three boats.
Jehovah can heal anyone, but that doesn’t mean he will. IN the first century God gave the Christians the gifts of healing, but those gifts were only temporary. Once the Christian Church would mature spiritually, those gifts would be done away with.1 Corinthians 13:8-13. Also when Jesus healed people, it was a reminder that in the very near future, Jehovah through Jesus will heal people again , but this time in a worldwide scale under his government. Mathew 6:10. In the meantime we can ask God to heal us or to help us find a cure for our illness, this includes going to the Doctor.
Sometimes, people try to give things to God, that werent meant to be given to God.
God made us smart, to make scientific advances in medicine. And to ignore that, isnt really right, IMO.
So, I’m just wondering, what’s the funny part?
Irony is amusing, but an old lady in critical condition is not funny.
just waiting for gods time seduadal. we might ant it now, here and said, but it might turn for the better if you wait and be paitent. he has his reasons for everthing
Oh wow I can totally relate to that; it happens a lot. The people always end up coming back… sometimes to the morgue, though.
lol, this is an example of why people who are overly religious just cause more problems in the world than those who are rational (not necessarily atheists, but rather…rational).
I would send her on her way. She has already said that she does not want treatment.
What use is evolution if we do not let it follow it’s natural course?
Who are those doctors to interfere with God’s will?

God sees ur reasoning, and ur heart. if she only said that because she wants to be healed, than idk….but if she said it was for His kingdom purposes and only that and she believed it with all her heart. She would probably be healed…..BUT, we do not know Gods way so we can never try to reason and come to a conclusion of why God didnt do this or that…
My design have been selected for the program cover for a musical in my school because i prayed that if it was for His kingdom, then so b it. And im spreading this blessing He has proured down on me and this is for the advancement of His kingdom….
