Uh, I’m a little nervous about asking this question. Here I go…
I use the internet a lot. I have seen pictures of people who have been decapitated and ripped in half and not given a second thought. But, a while ago, I was browsing snopes.com. And, on one of their myths, they included a picture. All it was was a picture of a man in a chicken suit in a living room. I have no idea why, but it freaked me out! That night, I got no sleep because I kept thinking about the picture. A similar thing happened to me when I was 6 (I got freaked out when I saw a picture of a cartoon character with bloodshot eyes). I don’t know if this is a medical issue, or if I’m going insane. I’m worried.

I am not psychiatrist, but you do not sound like a crazy person to me. Think of it for a minute. Look at all the violent images we see on TV and in film. Violence has become a normal pattern of imagery for us on many levels. We have become desensitized to it in a way. But this image of a man in a chicken suit holds the irony of a man in a clown suit: it’s supposed to be funny, but scares us psychologically. I think you have associated many images of what is acceptable and what is not not based on your tolerance level for it. So, because of increased exposure to violence on TV, this might be why you find the chicken man more disturbing.
That chicken suit thing is pretty freaky to me, but it won’t make me think about it after seeing it. Everyone has a different sense of horror and different things scare different people, for example some people are scared of clowns and have other irrational fears. I wouldn’t worry about it.
Hi there, what your are experiencing is something we all experience in our life and that is fear. Just like some being a afraid of spiders (i.e me) , then you got people like my cousin who is honestly treiffed of beans (no joke baked beans) So no your not insane its just normal. Just try not to think about it.
Maybe the reason you react to that photo is because the chicken is wearing suspenders and is described as subservient. I suggest you may have some sexual interests you have yet to fully explore.
Well, some people react to differently to things. I for one am similar in the fact that “gross” things dont freak me out as much as I think they should. You have different fears than what is normal.

umm maybe its a phobea =/ maybe ur just subconsciously scared about something else that happened
It is sort of creepy. I think it’s the eyes/head in general.
