This Question From X-ray Jokes | 3 Answers
I’d like to hear from a TSA screener or someone who is familiar with this, not speculation or “jokes,” as this is a serious subject. Do they need to be removed and x-rayed? Will a doctor’s note be required?
Has this changed with the new travel restrictions?

I had a steel knee joint installed a few years back. I just tell the security inspector at the metal detector that I have a prosthetic knee joint, and I’m going to set off his alarm when I walk through, and they make me go sit in the corner for a few moments… Sometimes they’ll pat me down, and sometimes just wave the hand-held metal detector over me, but it’s not a big deal. I’ve never been asked for a Dr’s note. I don’t think there’s been any recent changes to this procedure.
Im sure they can be inspected discretely
what if the person is deaf and they say hold it,and you keep walking and they shoot you for not obeying ? well its happened before ,how does a blind person know when he or she is done wiping ?
