My dad fell off a 40 foot ladder once, and he walked away from the fall. he was on the first rung when it happened. so there are many different things that must be in play.
You said a big building, you could be in a huge building that is only one story tall. so your chance would be better to live if you fell from the roof, if you jumped from a window from teh first floor , no big deal. I saw a video of someone jumping off a third story walkway and walking away from it, that is after they got out of the swimming pool that was on th eground floor that they jumped into.
your question does not have enough information to give one answer.
I answered this question how I was told to in a Logic class in College.
You cannot based your death on the size of the building when you wanna jump from a building but it will depend on the degree of the result of your fall. In other words,on this scenario, nobody can predict if you will die no matter how high is the building or its not high.
You can die from a two inch on concrete by hitting your head.
It is not necessiarily the height of the building; it is the WAY you land. Many people have jumped or fallen from high altitudes and walked away. (remember the skydiver a few months back? she fell 10,000 ft and broke a tooth!!) On the other hand, I have heard of people falling from their porches at home and have died.
As long as you land on concrete, 2 would do it.
Depends on whats on the ground where you will land, how you land IE (on head creating a head injury…and death…yeah) Does someone shoot you on your way down? Do you have a bomb? Again it just matters on how fast and hard and what you hit.
