In Romeo And Juliet, Why Does Nurse’s Charcter And Opinions Change Throughout The Play?

This Question From Nurse Jokes | 2 Answers

At first, the Nurse was stuck in the past, treating Juliet like the little baby she helped raise and telling embarrassing stories.
Later, she first is more adult, about marriage, and then a bit crude, dropping jokes in.
She approves Juliet’s decisions about marrying Romeo
When Tybalt is killed, the Nurse judges Juliet pretty harshly, and tells her not to marry Juliet
She tells Juliet that it will be better if Juliet marries Paris.

she changes her opinion on juliets marriage to romeo because she watches the exchange between Lord Capulet and Juliet, and realises that perhaps juliets love for romeo (the only reason she was okay with the whole thing) may not be enough to convince the families. she decides that rather than displease her parents juliet may as well marry paris, to keep the peace.

The nurse is only looking out for Juliet as she has since the beginning. Don’t interpret that as betrayal towards Juliet – She’s simply being protective and taking the safe way out.
