I don’t like to read jokes and chain letters. I hate pornographic emails.
So, here’s the question: Is better to tell people to stop sending me those kind of emails, or it’s best to delete the emails without telling them anything?
In the past I’ve told them and they got offended and stopped talking to me. Is best to tell them to stop or just delete the emails?

I get a lot of stuff forwarded to me too- jokes, chain letters, etc.
I have just been deleting them without reading them.
I think you can set some e-mails to spam. Then, just empty your spam folder.
They are annoying. Some people think they’re funny and interesting.

Good for you, I hate that stuff too. You could keep telling them but when they send emails, they’re probably sending them to lots of people so you may just be automatically on the list. I would divert them to junk mail asap!
If they ask you what you thought of them, just be honest with them and say something like, well since you asked, I don’t appreciate them. That might stick in their mind than you just telling them you don’t want them.
You can tell them til the cows come home and they won’t stop, so you might as well just use that good ol’ delete button. I’ve got 21 unread e-mails in my in-box right now that I’ve got to either read or delete, but I know they are all junk (no porn, I hope!) that my friends and relatives just send to everyone in their address book……..soooooo, I think I’ll just “delete” tonight……
Dear Carlos, I have been in the same position and did tell the person not to send me porn…not into it and it is repulsive to me. I lost him as a friend…but, those kind of friends I can afford to lose.
Can you set your email to spam, so all those emails just go to spam and you don’t see them? It’s a win, win situation. You don’t see them and no one is offended.
Tell ‘em and then hit the spam button. Or just the one, probably the latter.
