Nursing And Hot All The Time?

This Question From Nurse Jokes | 6 Answers

QUESTION:

Goodness! I’m nursing (my daughter is 4 mos old) and I’m an oven. When everyone else is comfortable, I’m sweating. Anyone else have this experience when nursing? I’m only 25, but I joke that I must be going through menopause.

    Me too!
It makes sense when you think that you’re burning more than 500 calories to make milk for your baby. Your body is burning more calories sitting down and nursing than other people burn at the gym. So of course we’re a little hot right now! Our bodies are great.

Yes… me and my sister…and someof my friends too. Drink water..it’s normal. Now I mostly nurse lying down for naps, my daughter gets hot when I hold her in cradle position.

You definitely arent the only one who feels that way. I remember going through the same thing too with my daughter, it was terrible. I used to feel bad, because I could feel us sweating where our tummies were touching one another!
