SOCIAL PERCEPTION SURVEY – I need as many responses as possible, please!!!!!?

This Question From Quick Jokes | 6 Answers

Hi there, I’m conducting a quick survey on social perception. There are three scenarios for you to read, and then answer as best you can. Thanks!!

Scenario 1:
You are having a joke around with friends/colleagues. Amidst the joviality, and one of them makes a joke regarding you (or someone else) which puts you off somewhat. Why do you believe they said that?

Scenario 2:
You are talking with friends/colleagues regarding a particular topic (it can be anything; politics, religion, science, music celebrites, whatever), when one member contributes to the conversation with an erroneous statement. Why do you believe they made an incorrect statement?

Scenario 3:
You are talking with a girl who works in a shop. When questioning her regarding a product the shop sells, she misinforms you about certain things. Why do you believe this is the case?

    People with an inappropriate agenda.

  2. Medical Jokes: Aj

Scenario 1: I believe they made the joke because it’s a “joke-around.” My feelings wouldn’t be hurt. Unless it was about some personal situation between the two of us, then I would just ask them about it later.

Scenario2: I believe they made the incorrect statement because they were misinformed.

Scenario 3: I believe she doesn’t care about her job because she told me the wrong thing.

  3. Medical Jokes: Amber

    Scenario 1:
There might be some truth to what they’re saying, or they genuinely are just kidding.

    Scenario 2:
They don’t know about the topic, but they still want to be included in the conversation, nobody likes being left out.

    Scenario 3:
She might not know, or tries to make the product seem better than how it really is.

    1. Because they got caught up in the atmosphere and over-stepped the line a bit.
    2. To make themslves look intelligent or amusing to everyone by saying something that is unique that could fool people with limited knowledge of the subject
    3. Because she has been employed recently and does not know what is going on quite yet

    1) maybe alcohol is involved but everybody is loosened up and their guard is down so they aren’t worried about what they say… It really carries no weight and should be disregarded if it isn’t repeated.
    2) they thought it was correct or had something to gain and thought people would believe them.
    3) most likely she just got it wrong. Odds are she has more to lose than gain by being deceptive.

  6. Medical Jokes: Johnny Huynh

Scenario One: I’ve been in this one many times. I would believe it was just him making a joke so he won’t feel left out, so he targets who he sees as the easiest target, is successful in making them laugh and entertained and thus he is accepted as a person who can hold his own and firther accepted into the social group.

Scenarion Two: Because they were either misinformed and didn’t want to feel left out, or because the base agenda they are trying to pursue causes them to make such an erroneous statement.

Scenario Three: Her job requires her to lie to her consumers , or she was misinformed, and to save face in front of a customer in front of her working place, she lies hoping the customer will not know what hse is talking about.

    Hoped I helped.
