I agree it is absurd and anyone who wants to be a parent she have what they are given and then count their blessings – I have two boys and I count my blessings every day!

I think that they will do what they want whether it is legal or not.
But I too think it should be done with.
I don’t agree with messing with nature.Things are the way they are for a reason.

Ok, I don’t know what weenier noses and such have to do with cloning, but I definitely have something to say about it (cloning that is)
When I first heard about the lady who cloned her dead dog into a bunch of puppies, I literally felt like I was going to throw up. The entire idea is just sickening. They’re not real animals for goodness sake! And the thing about cloning pets is that there are plenty of poor animals in shelters that need homes. Making artificial puppies is not only selfish, but it keeps helpless dogs in shelters.
A major thing about cloning that I think makes it wrong, is the idea that you can, in a way, bring the dead back to life. Imagine your child dieing and then deciding to clone them to make a new version of them. Encouraging cloning prevents people from coming to terms with the death of their loved ones. Death is just something that happens to everyone and people have to accept it, as hard as it might be. Cloning keeps people from accepting the truth, and also keeps helpless animals from being adopted.

2. Cloning of organs and blood for transplantation with zero rejection.
3. Makes genetically altering plants and animals to produce useful antigens and chemicals more viable and less cost prohibitive since genetic drift is not an issue.
4. Avoiding negative affects of inbreeding when trying to maintain selected traits in a breed (not just dogs/cats/pets/etc but food stock animals etc).
5. Easy volume production of vaccines.
Theoretical positives of cloning.
1. One form of clinical immortality through replacement of genetically undamaged components grown from an earlier established baseline.
2. Maintaining a viable populace with insufficient genetic stock by introducing controlled drift through generations to produce a more varied genetic baseline.
3. Introduction of species to a location without having to transport a large base population to make up a viable genetic group.
Negatives of Cloning
1. Cloning people, people are idiots, so it would be propagating a moronic species. Exemplified by this question.
