What Is The Best Way To Deal With Rude Random People And Nasty Neighbors?

This Question From Rude Jokes | 7 Answers

I have been respectful to other people and their space. And I try to be nice to others.
However, some people always make fun of me and tell me rude comments or rude remarks, even if they don’t know me and I get tired of it.
So, what is the best way to deal with rude comments from random people?
If my neighbors have always been rude to me and inconsiderate with their rude jokes and loud music and bad attitude….I’m I being rude if I don’t socialize or say hi to them?
I just don’t feel like talking to them or saying hi to them.

No, you are not being rude if you don’t say hi to them. Just ignore them. You are under no obligation to speak to them. That is your choice. You may wish to say Hi just to be friendly, but beyond that, just ignore them. Rude comments are not worth acknowledging or bothering with, just ignore them. After a while they may stop.

rude comment from radndom people.. ummm it always sucks it always happends …
so what you do know is see if they are qualified to make that remark!
    example
do you ask a butcher about your cable tv… he does meat, not cable so how would he be qualified to know!
if he isn’t quilified then he is wasting his breath because why would anyone care what an unqualified person has to say about something they don’t know about!
more over to get upset over something that someone doesn’t know about is just as odd.
it’s hard but ignore them no need to say hi if they aren’t!

You know what, have they shown you respect? NO. So in all honesty, I think that not speaking with them is the non-confrontational way to deal with it. Personally, I would tell them that I really don’t appreciate their comments, no offense. Make where you stand known, and then give them a chance to react. If they then react with blatant disregard….you are then justified in ignoring them completely.
EDIT: I am dealing with a neighbor issue too. See my question.

call the cops on them if they violate even a single word or comma of the law.
Or get even . If they have a noisy yappy dog, you should get one.
If they play loud music, get a louder stereo and add your music to the chorus.

Get a new neighborhood. You should greet people, but you do not have to start a lengthy conversation. If they are random people, then ignore them. Keep a low profile, and you will be better off.

you can just wave… no commenting at all.
you don’t say what kind of rude comments they say…
you know the way you shoo a fly away …use that gesture

I would ignore them as best you can to avoid a potentially nasty and even dangerous confrontation. People don’t like to be ignored. You may have to say calmly – if you do not stop then I will be forced to speak with the police. That should send a clear message – cut the crap. They sound very immature and like losers. Who else engages in this type of behavior? My neighbors across the street are these kind of people. I ignore them. It seems to be ok. It’s a real shame that it amounts to this sometimes. I don’t understand it.
We don’t have to get along or like each other but can’t we just respect each other and leave each other be. Apparently for some – this is a foreign concept.
I walk and go for bike rides around our neighborhood. I used to be very friendly – just saying hello to people. It was good for a while. Now – no one seems to talk to one another. I live in a city but it’s a city in a time warp. It’s hickish. People seem very sheltered and cliquey. Not very sociable. They seem to prefer to be left alone. The people that are from here that I have been able to talk to say this. I’m inclined to agree.
I just appreciate it when I do run into someone that is not like the locals. They seem to appreciate me b/c sometimes it’s like running into a long lost friend and yet they are a stranger to me and I to them.
