Of course, wealthy and successful and no matter what costs, even if it means not being happy. Your mother and father are just being parents, wanting the best for you but not letting you go for what you want. I was in the same shoes. I want to be a nurse, my mother also wanted me to be a pharmacist and I was going to consider it, but I didn't want to behind a counter all day and told her how I felt. She went clean off! She told me it's not about happiness, but being financially secure. I believe in total happiness, from personal, to occupational, to relationships. This is your life and your future. If you want to go monkey trainer school, you should do it and they should respect that. Pharmacy is a good stable and flexible career with a lot of opportunities, but many pharmacists that I have interviewed wish they never even CONSIDERED pharmacy, they literally hate their jobs. Pharmacy is not for everyone and law enforcement isn't for everyone, but somebody wants to do it. I say go for your dream and do your best. Ain't nobody gonna be paying your bills but you. You can really get an adrenaline rush from working in a hospital. It is really stressful working in retail as well. You can become member of a board of pharmacy and get limited police training and become a peace officer and do drug busts. You can nab people who forge fake prescriptions and combine law and pharmacy or you can become a pharmaceutical company attorney. You will get high pressure jobs. If you do not have heart in pharmacy it will be hard to make it though the program. It is a hard program and takes years of study. It is not fun. You can end up in just an any annoying stressful job.
