Primary school parent acts like I don’t exist sometimes…?
Normally we get on fine and laugh and joke. Sometimes my wife and I and our 5 year old son do cinema and other social things with my sons friends and their mother.
However…
When we’re all saying goodbye the lady will hug and kiss my wife and ignore me completely.
Okay, so what. But…
Then she says to her sons:
“Say goodbye to Liam and Janet” (my son and wife’s names).
And she leaves me out.
What does this mean? The lady in question works in mental health so is intelligent. Does she hate me or what else is going on? Why does she not acknowledge my existence sometimes?
My son and wife’s names are not the ones I said.
When I say “mental health” I mean to say that she works in psychiatry and is University educated, sorry.

That’s a very hard question to answer if you are not part of the group or know the mother of the other children. But without a doubt especially considering the fact that the other mother is a psychiatrist if she had any negative feelings about you she would not allow her children to go anywhere with you. So rule it out to possible rudeness or just something that she doesn’t realize she is doing. But it doesn’t have anything to do with you personally. I wouldn’t worry about it or give it another thought. Possibly you could be a little more assertive and approach her upon saying goodbye, shake her hand and tell her what good kids she has. Something proative.
talk to your wife and see her take on it but i think this lady is very rude intellgent or not she needs some damn manners
Well she hates you or has a damn mental problem with men
You are asking us because you hope that the truth will hurt less if we tell it to you online but we are not mind readers.There could be a million reasons why she would ignore you.
Perhaps she has something against men in general.Perhaps she has been hurt one time too many by men and because of it she is feeling hostile toward them.Perhaps it is nothing personal.
You have the highest chance of learning the truth about her behavior if you ask her yourself.
