Why does the Left always jump when the slightest sarcasm is used about the president?
Rammell’s remarks on Otter came in an interview Wednesday after the Times-News asked about comments Rammell made Tuesday night at a local Republican party event.
After an audience member shouted a question about “Obama tags” during a discussion on wolves, Rammell responded, “The Obama tags? We’d buy some of those.”
Rammell, a veterinarian and former elk rancher from Idaho Falls, said his comment was a joke and he would never seriously talk about President Obama that way, although he doesn’t support anything Obama’s done as president.
“I was just being sarcastic. That was just a joke,” Rammell said. “I would never support him being assassinated.
“She kind of caught me off guard, to be honest with you.”

From personal experience in dealing with liberal friends and family members, smarminess is a one way street. They can be as crass and hateful as they choose. They can allude to killing conservative politicians (or out right advocate for it), but God forbid they receive a dose of their own medicine. Then they become whining, mewling pukes who claim you are a racist, hate monger, or Nazi. Tiresome.
It might have something to do with the HUGE increase in threats received by the Secret Service since Obama became President. When hundreds of people are so angry and nasty that they shout death threats, kill doctors, bring guns to town halls, and repeatedly threaten the life of the President in this forum, most ‘jokes’ are taken more seriously when they are ‘jokes’ about shooting the President. Perhaps your party should lay off the violence if they want to joke about shooting the president.

let’s see.. Obama makes a joke about his bowling skills, and inadvertantly and with no malice, mentions special olympics. For that, people were ready to tar and feather him.
Is Rammell an elected official? then there are standards to be lived up to. Hunting the President of the US kind of goes beyond rational boundaries.
Hunting the President is not a joke. I don’t give a damn how he wants to blow it off or excuse it.
Where was all this outrage for the “president’s safety” when the Left was making films about assassination of W or folks like Bill Maher were suggesting Cheney take Bush hunting….
I don’t hear words any more from Liberals…. just that sound that Charlie Brown’s teacher used to make.
They are such hypocrites, even THEY have no idea what they “believe”. Heck, John Kerry couldn’t keep ONE position for a 24 hour period, why would we care what they say now they have a Marxist in the Oval Office?
Yeah, you’re right. It’s a “joke” to say that you would like to kill the president. Hilarious. I guess that’s what passes for right-wing humor.
Next time you’re in the airport, make a “joke” in front of the TSA guys that you’d like to bomb a plane and see what happens.
